Dr. Surendranathan is an ESG and sustainability subject matter expert. She leads the ESG Department at Digital Nasional Berhad where she manages sustainability strategy and performance across the organisation, ensuring alignment with the national digital agenda and the UN Sustainable Development Goals for participation in local, regional and global capital markets. She has over five years of combined experience in ESG, academia, technology and media, linking her passion for social and environmental issues with her expertise in stakeholder management, communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills. She holds a PhD, MA and MFA in English from Cornell University, and an AB from Bryn Mawr College, where she taught and researched on topics such as environmental ethics and law, the digital humanities and critical theory.
